Abstract

The Russian invasion of Turkistan, spanning the late 18th to the late 19th century, marked a significant period of imperial expansion and transformation in Central Asia. This paper examines the motives behind the Russian conquest, the strategies employed, and the profound impacts on the socio-political and economic landscapes of Turkistan. Through an analysis of primary and secondary sources, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the historical significance of the Russian annexation of Turkistan and its long-term implications for the region.
