Abstract

Romanticism began to enter European countries in the middle of the 18th and early 19th centuries. Romanticism was considered one of the most attractive genres for intellectuals. Romanticism played a large and important role in the emergence and development of many other new artistic genres. Romanticism was of great importance and rapidly developed in German, French and Russian literature and other European countries. The movement was characterized by an appreciation of nature and ordinary people, a focus on individual experience, an idealization of women, and the elimination of disenchantment. Romanticism entered British life and other parts of the world later.
