Abstract

Ensuring public safety is one of the key aspects of any state's functioning. In a modern world marked by rapid social, political, and technological changes, the task of ensuring societal safety becomes increasingly complex and relevant. The urgency of the issue is driven not only by crime and terrorist threats but also by other factors such as changing social structures, migration processes, cybersecurity threats, and natural and man-made disasters. Consequently, issues of law and order, protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, and ensuring societal stability and development remain at the forefront of state policy in many countries. Different countries have various approaches to defining and ensuring public safety, reflecting their unique historical, cultural, and political characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the regulatory acts governing public safety in several countries to identify key approaches and trends in this area. Comparative analysis of the legislation of different countries allows for the identification of effective strategies and methods of ensuring safety, which can be applied in practice.
