Abstract

Before the Russian occupation of Turkestan, the region was a diverse and culturally rich area located in Central Asia. Turkestan, also known as Central Asia, consisted of various ethnic groups, including Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Tajiks, and Turkmen, each with their own unique traditions, languages, and beliefs. The region was also a significant hub for trade, connecting East Asia with the Middle East and Europe through the famous Silk Road. Turkestan was known for its vibrant cities, such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, which were centers of learning, art, and architecture.
