Annotation: This thesis investigates the various financing mechanisms
available for innovative tourism infrastructure, focusing on methods such as public-
private partnerships (PPPs), green bonds, and impact investing. It discusses the critical
role of innovative infrastructure in enhancing tourism competitiveness, the challenges
associated with financing such projects, and the role of governments in creating
conducive environments for investment. The study highlights the need for a blend of
traditional and alternative financing models to overcome the high costs and long
payback periods of innovative infrastructure projects in tourism.
