Abstrak

Abstract. This article explores the phraseological expressions that convey comic 
effect in English and Uzbek, delving into the linguistic and cultural nuances inherent 
in each language. By analyzing a diverse array of idiomatic expressions, proverbs, and 
colloquialisms, the study aims to uncover the mechanisms through which humor is 
constructed and communicated across these two distinct linguistic landscapes.
